Statistics: Russia’s inflation again at zero Feb 28–Mon
MOSCOW, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- Russian consumer prices have showed zero dynamics for a second consecutive week from February 28 through Monday, and inflation reached 0.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Thursday.
In the reported week, prices for butter, milk, curd, cheese, rye bread, pasta and vodka grew by 0.2-0.4%. Buckwheat deflated by 0.9%. Prices for eggs and sugar decreased by 0.8%, while prices for sunflower oil, rice and millet went down by 0.2-0.5%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables remained flat on average. Onion and potato prices rose by 1.8% and 1.4%, respectively, whereas prices for fresh cucumbers and tomatoes dropped by 2.4% and 0.3%.
Gasoline prices rose by 0.2% and diesel fuel prices remained flat.
